Darkness Before Dawn by J.A. London Review

2 part love, 2 parts action, 6 parts vampires

Hate vampires? Stay away from this book, or maybe this book will change your mind. The vampires in this town are evil, and they have taken over, humans stay in a town surrounded by a wall… some never see the outside world. Dawn Montgomery, the youngest vampire delegate ever, she deals with the vampires so everyone cans stay safe, following in her parents footsteps even though they have proved they are fatal. Dawn hates vampires yet… she discovers maybe, just maybe they’re not all bad. A fantastic book  that keeps you up through the night, turning page after page.

Only Sunlight Can Save Us

We built the wall to keep them out, to keep us safe. But it also makes us prisoner, tapped in whats left of our ravaged city, fearing nightfall. After the death of my parents, its up to me- as the newest delegate for humanity- to bargain with our vampire overlord. I thought I was ready. I though I knew everything there was to know about the monsters. Then again, nothing could have prepared me for Lord Valentine… or his son. Maybe not all vampires are killers. Maybe its safe to let one in.

Only one things for certain: Even the wall is not enough. A war is coming and we cannot hide forever.

Divergent by Veronica Roth Review

1 part romance, 6 parts action.

Divergent is a very interesting novel, similar to The Hunger Games in a sense. But don’t go expecting the same thing. Beatrice, or Tris as she becomes lives in a dystopian society where there are 5 ‘factions’ (sort of like houses in Harry Potter) which each represent a different quality and do a different job in the society. At a point in your teenage years you sit a test which gives you 1 or 2 factions to choose from. You are allowed to switch factions yet you are separated from your family. Tris has to make the hardest choice of her life. She faces dangers and fears, and learns to love… this book is memorable, unpredictable and a must read for those who enjoyed The Hunger Games.

The Fault In Our Stars by John Green Review

1 part comedy, 6 parts tragedy, 3 parts romance.

‘The fault in our stars’ has to be one of the most heartbreaking books that I have ever read. But its also incredibly moving, then again just about any book involving teen cancer patients. For this novel you laugh, you cry, and then you come back for more. This whole book is ‘an electric portrait of young people who learn to live with one foot in the grave.’

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist name Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten.

A little About me.

I would call myself a bookaholic, its the best way to describe my reading. I wouldn’t say it was an unhealthy habit but it is something that I do as naturally as breathing. To date I have read approximately 676 books since May last year, so you could say I know a bit about books. This blog is going to have reviews of all the books I read… the good ones at least :)
